"Ka 'Io" or the Hawaiian Hawk is endemic and native to Hawai'i. Flying majestically in the loftiest heights of the stratosphere and closely to the heavens, the 'io thusly became associated with Hawaiian royalty. Many Hawaiian families today also regard the 'io as their family 'aumakua; a family god or deified ancestral guardian. This design shows the piercing gaze of the 'Io on the front with the "HGH" Homegrown Hawaiian logo centered on the upper back.
